Guest Bathroom Renovation

Updated: Jun 18, 2021

This guest bathroom renovation in June 2021 began with the removal of all existing wall tile and some of the backerboard as well as the old steel tub. Since the existing plumbing fixtures were in such good condition, we only disconnected what was necessary to accomplish this renovation.

After dropping in the new tub and reconnecting the drain lines, we installed new concrete tile board around the tub as needed and prepared for installing the new tile. By being careful in the removal of the original tile, we were able to reuse most of the existing backer board saving both time and money. Once the backer board was in place, we began installing the new 4" x 12" tile.

We also installed a row of decorative mosaics and pencil border tile.
